Firefighters in Portsmouth have tackled a fire in St Mary's Road, Kingston, Portsmouth. Control room operators received a 999 emergency call at 15:09 to reports of a fire at a construction site in the city. Crews from Southsea, Cosham, Portchester and Havant attended the incident. The fire was affecting a single storey building site measuring 35 x 25 metres. Using Southsea's aerial ladder platform, firefighters were able to tackle the fire from above and quickly prevented it from spreading to neighbouring properties.
