Wyatts wedding bells

Hugh OBrian, TVs Wyatt Earp and Virginia Stumpf Barber will marry June 25 at the Gene Autry Museum. Its the first marriage for OBrian who will be 81, April 19. (He starred in the TV series from 1955-1962, 256 shows).

It’s the first marriage for O’Brian who will be 81, April 19. (He starred in the TV series  from 1955-1962, 256 shows).

He says they will honeymoon in  England and take a course in Ancient Civilization at Oxford University.

“I’m still trying to get my college degree,” he laughs. The two have known each other for 17 years and she has worked with him in his Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program (HOBY). It will hold its World Congress, July 27 in D.C. when 425 youngsters from the U.S., 25 from abroad will conclave at George Washington, U.

O’Brian tells me he was inspired to start his youth education program after a nine-day stay with Albert Schweitzer in Africa in 1958. The program is now in its 48th year and has benefited more than 345,000 high school sophomores.
